The high point for the day was the basketball men game between UCC and KNUST since it was tagged ‘repeat or revenge’ due to the fact that KNUST beat UCC in the UPAC basketball competition last year.

The game got underway with KNUST creating so much problems to UCC with their key handler by name Clock who is an expert with the three pointer throws and at the end of the first quarter, KNUST led by 21 to 9 baskets.
UCC regrouped and came in very strongly with an antidote for Clock who vanished into thin air in the rest of the quarters and that was virtually the end of the road for KNUST men.
UCC took total control of the game and led 33:27 by the end of the 2nd quarter. KNUST made some tactical changes but their counterpart on the bench for UCC quickly neutralized that and won the game by 68 to 59.
The men from KNUST were very disappointed and dejected looking at how well they started the game coupled with the fact that their women also lost to UCC yesterday. Some of them even burst into tears and you could feel their pains as a fan of the game.
The gold medal challenge now is a straight fight between UG and UCC and that would be decided on Monday when these two giants clash on UEW central basketball court.
