THE ENSLAVED QUEEN By Stephen Otu-Amoah

THE ENSLAVED QUEEN
A rarity in this perverse world
She is despised for all her good traits
She stands ashamed for her virtue
Chastised by friends for her moral choice
She stricken with grief due to her vision

She often regrets this choice but keeps strong
Standing in the midst of sinners
She perseveres because of her faith
She’s now an abnormality

Once, what was the tradition
Has now become more or less a taboo
She who was once a queen is now an outcast

What at all is happening?
First, all girls looked up to her
Now they seem to show pity on her
Because they are confused.

The world has made a perfect concept impossible to implementable
And it has people who are lawyering for it
And it’s easy to join this bandwagon

Because it’s the sweetness of the lie that they were sold
Making what was a purity realm into a filthy dwelling
She is continually mocked by peers

Those who used to be like her are rejecting her
But she will stand firm and move on with her choice
Cos She is a VIRGIN AND PROUD.
