After dropping a hit single that has taken the African Urban Gospel scene by storm, Baaz, the Grace hit maker joined forces with Veanus Globe Foundation to embark on a charity project that seeks to empower the less privilege through education.

On the 11th of April, 2016 the founder of Veanus Globe Foundation, Veana Acolatse alongside Baaz, Percy Freeman and others, visited Royal Shelter International School located at Agege to embark on a feasibility study. The headmaster of the school shared the challenges the school faces with the team. They went round the school to interact with the kids and also, to get a first hand view of their predicament.

According to Baaz, he was disturbed to see the plight of these little future leaders. According to him that took straight into the scriptures, where the disciples tried to prevent the kids from coming to Jesus. He likened it to the Ghanaian Educational System preventing the kids from quality education. He later told us he couldn’t sleep that night. He kept on rolling on his bed whiles having flash backs of his sad experience that day.IMG-20160628-WA0009

Together with the Veanus Globe, Baaz returned to the school on the 14th and 15th of April to donate items such as Books, Footballs and other incentives. image_1With the help of The HolySpirit The team also fed the whole school breakfast and lunch.IMG-20160628-WA0006

He also said that his happiest moment was when a little kid of about 5 years run from afar to cling to his left leg. According to him when he turned and looked down and saw the joy on the kids face which aroused his emotion and almost wept.image

She outlined their plans to start sponsoring some of the kids with their school fees among other things. She also encouraged that giving to the less privileged should be a spontaneous thing. Her advice to Ghana and the world at large was that we shouldn’t wait for some big money before giving. She emphasized on the fact that giving to others is all about the heart.

It’s very nice to see Urban Gospel Artistes teaming up with Charity organizations to help People while entertaining us with Classic Christian tunes. Well done Baaz and Percy Freeman for setting the pace for others to follow.IMG-20160628-WA0011
