(Luke 16:³¹) “But Abraham said, ‘If they won’t listen to Moses and the prophets, they won’t listen even if someone rises from the dead.'”
Beloved, this is the account of poor sore infested Lazarus and the rich man… You know the story or you can read of it (Luke 16:19-31).
Our generation is blessed with convincing testimonies of men and women, young and old who have had experiences of the after life and live to tell us what is inevitable… Yet unbelief thrives… We are incensed with discovered knowledge of creation, which also testifies of the Creator… Yet we fail to acknowledge Him.
“Long ago God spoke many times and in many ways to our ancestors through the prophets. And now in these final days, He has spoken to us through His Son. God promised everything to the Son as an inheritance, and through the Son He created the universe.”(Heb 1:1-2)
God Himself took our human nature and walked this very earth to testify of what lies ahead and yet we have unbelief… We do not understand how God, who created us both male and female could have a Son…and yet He who formed our very being has our features…. For we are made in His image and likeness. Is anything too hard for God?
When God used the prophets, they reported, “Thou sayest the Lord.” But when God’s Word became flesh and dwelt amongst men He said, “I am the Bread of Life”, “I am the Way”, “I am the Truth”, “I am the Life”, “I am the Light of the world”, “I and my Father are one and the same.”
Indeed, the Good News of salvation is foolishness to the perishing…but I pray that you will be counted amongst the blessed because though you have not seen yet you believe. Blessed is He who has an ear to hear what God is saying in these last days.
