The 8th edition of the Ghana University Sports Association mini games hosted by the university of Cape Coast came to a successful end yesterday in Cape Coast.
A total of eight(8) public universities took part in various sports disciplines, from football, to volleyball and athletics.
The university of Cape Coast put up an impressive performance to run away with the overall trophy despite a great challenge from UDS who for the first time, won both gold medals in men and women soccer.
UCC won 20 gold medals, 11 silver medals and 6 bronze medals to top the overall medal table. UDS came second with 13 gold medals, 11 silver medals and 12 bronze medals.
The University of Ghana are the host for the next main GUSA games in 2020.
