Ex Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak legend Charles Taylor says he has doubts about Ghana winning the upcoming African Cup of Nations.

According to the former Black Star player, he’s not convinced whether Ghana can break their 32year AFCON drought by winning the tournament in Egypt.

“I can’t tell and everyone has his beliefs but personally I don’t believe it. Some African countries are advancing but Ghana is still living in the past,” Taylor revealed on the Delay Show.

The tournament which is slated to take place in Egypt will see Ghana play their final qualification match against Kenya at Accra Sports Stadium on March 23rd.

The head coach of the Ghana Black Stars, Kwesi Appiah is preparing to announce his 23 man squad for the final group game.

A win for Ghana will see them top the group ahead of upcoming opponents.

Ghana is without an AFCON gold medal since 1982 and is looking forward to breaking that spell.

Ghana has been runners up in 1992, 2010 and 2015.
