The nation is still in its joyous moment of the just ended National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ)– students are still celebrating contestants, old students are encouraging their respective schools, and of course, the trolling of other schools by the general stakeholders continues.
Yesterday, November 26 was the grande finale of the NSMQ, and Prempeh College from the Ashanti Region of Ghana won on their own land against Presbyterian Boys (PRESEC) and Keta Senior Technical School (KETASCO). The NSMQ is an avenue for education and fun for most Ghanaian youth, and it is always the case that one student/contestant stands out as the one who wows the majority of the stakeholders.
GhanaBliss presents that fellow from the just ended 2021 NSMQ, Francisca Lamini. She hails from the Volta Region in a place called Dabala. She is only eighteen (18) years of age. Although part of the finalists KETASCO presented, she could not enjoy the aura of lifting the trophy.
That notwithstanding, she emerged as the most outstanding female contestant in the whole competition. In eight years, she is the first female to ever reach the finals, and the first female from the Volta Region. One thing about her that wowed Ghanaians the most was her speed in answering questions. She has proven that a lady could become a champion.
She does not only church with the Church of Pentecost, Ghana, but also the President of the Pentecost Students Association (PENSA) in KETASCO.
We wish her well!
